About Mystic Yoga Shala

Since its opening in January 2006 by Mystic native Amy β€œDechen” Zezulka, the Shala community continues to grow due to its inspirational teachers and nurturing atmosphere.

All of us at the Mystic Yoga Shala are dedicated to bringing you safe, fun, challenging and growth-promoting yoga classes designed to empower and help you shine!

 Most of our classes are based on the Baron Baptiste Power Vinyasa method, a proven system of yoga that works and is practiced by many well respected professional athletes, as a way to recover from injuries quickly and to get a competitive edge. The rest of us practicing this method also discover  a sense of well-being, health and vitality that enhances all aspects of our lives.  

Preparation for Class

Please wear comfortable yoga clothes without zippers or buttons that might dig into your skin. For Men: tee shirt, shorts or sweatpants. For Women: yoga shorts or pants, athletic top or sports bra with a tee shirt.

You will need to bring a yoga mat, bottle of water with electrolytes and a towel or two.  We do sell and rent all of these items if you need them.  

Please come to class on an empty stomach or allow at least 2 hours for your food to digest before class. Please be well hydrated. 

New students are welcome into any of our classes at anytime!  However, many new students find it helpful to take an Introduction to Power Vinyasa class or Basic Foundations class first early on to help facilitate your understanding of the flow.

Cell phones must be turned off and left in cubbies. Please no gum chewing, shoes or socks in studio. Kindly leave the classroom and use the bathroom to expel anything unwanted from your body. Make sure your yoga clothes and and towels you bring in to the studio are clean and do not smell when soaked with moisture. Please be courteous and respectful of others.
